Interview with Valentina Pierucci

You are a travel blogger from le Marche region, your travel is always concentrated on le Marche Italian  Region, not yet well known even today in Italy and abroad .Lonely Planet guide has indicated this area as “a must  go” one in the world, but how are  le Marche region ?You know them very well, you’ve studied in deep them, you usually travel by car starting from Calcinelli (PU) near to Acqualagna, what can you say to us about the only region in the plural (in Italy)?

When I decided to tell the beauties of Le Marche region I have done a very specific choice that was born from my desire to tell about the territory where I was born, growned up and where I decided to live .What I like about this region is the simplicity of things, the uncontaminated nature , the possibility to start the day at the seaside , going up to  hills in the afternoon having one glass of wine and end the night up to mountain .That’s what Le Marche region offer:everything you like!

As you are a travel blogger you have been  collecting  for years stories, anedoctes, changes of intended use of some locations in your big travel diary about  Le Marche region. People living in this region love to tell “old stories”, the ones that are handed down throught the chance encounters you sometimes  make in Le Marche places. Which are the best last two stories  people told to you?

I really must say that, in my opinion, that the most interesting and amazing part of my trip inside  Le Marche region is the  storytelling of forgotten stories. One of these is related to the little town of  Fossombrone lodges, the typical arcades along the Garibaldi Corso. On one side there were  Poors people Arcade , where you could find inns and noisy shops, on the other side  Rich people arcade , where  catholic churches were built and where the upper class ladies were used to walk around. These arcade in the past were  witnesses of a clear social differentiation :if, unfortunately a poor went to the rich arcade without any reason, was punished with sword.
Sometimes aged people tell me about simple daily stories,to give you an example, when they could see women doing the laundry in washroom or along the banks of rivers. There is a lot of simplicity in this storytelling, but a lot of truth.

Le Marche region, thanks to the  heterogeneity of their microclimate and nature , sea, hills and mountains so near to each others, are really an “all year destination area”.FAI(National l Trust for Italy) gives advice about some really interesting locations , which one you would recommend in proximity of Acqualagna city ?The province of Pesaro Urbino leads travelers and tourists  to combine nature, art and food also thanks to the annual Truffle Fair (from 24/10/21 each week end to 14/11/21)What would you suggest to visit to all of us?

I think that The Gola del Furlo is a must go destination approaching to Acqualagna .This State Nature Reserve is between Pietralata and Paganuccio mountains and allows many walks, from the easiest  to the more difficult ones.If you like this kind of excursion I recommend a visit to Marmitte dei Giganti in Fossombrone , an amazing canyon in which you can make kayak in a beautiful nature (if climate allows of course)

You were born inside the homeland of truffle , one of the nobles protagonist of Le Marche Territory. Rossini, the famous opera composer, loved it , truffle is present on the table of worldwide chef , difficult to find , excellent to taste.
Truffle is the absolute protagonist inside the T&C truffle products and its brand L’ angolo dei sapori.T&C is a company you know very well , isn’t it? What do you remember about this truffle experience made together with the company:the truffle museum in Acqualagna, its  uncontaminated nature perfect for growing truffle, the products you tasted or something else?

I’ve been so impressed about your passion leading me on discovering the truffle, a product of our territory.i did not really know what there was  behind the scene. Living the truffle experience I ‘ve learnt how much work is behind a ready to use product on our tables.there is a big team work , made with passion and respect towards this  environment that gives truffle as a gift to us, the King of the table: truffle.
